Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

It's that time again, time to thank all the wonderful people who were so generous to me at Christmas time. I needed a card that was simple and quick so I could make 18 of them fast. These worked up quick as only the embossing took time. I was pretty pleased with the way they came out. The stamps are from The Angel Company, other than that used a little Stickles and some white embossing powder.

Here is a second version I did but they were to labor intensive to work up quickly. I'll save this one for someone special. Thanks for looking.

First Christmas Card Creation

This is a sample of my first Christmas card for 2011. The stamps, dies and most of the idea are thanks to www.tayloredexpressions.com. They are SO creative over there. I like to do a few different styles of Christmas cards mostly because I get bored making 50 of one type. So, here is number 1.

Online Challenge

Howdy! Here is a layout I submitted for an online challenge on Let's Scrap http://letsscrap.ning.com/. The contest is picking out a sketch and then designing a layout following that sketch. Here is the sketch I picked:

And here is the layout I completed:

I'm Back!

Can't believe I'm so lax updating my blog....have to move it up on my priority list.

With the holiday quickly approaching I have several projects on my list of things to do. These 2 layouts are from one of my recently completed projects.

My grandkids came to Texas for a visit last month and we had tons of fun. I had to make them a scrapbook to store all these wonderful memories in. During their time here we went to Austin for a few days and visited the hot spots including the bats sightings. We had dinner on the "batio" (patio) at TGIF which provided us with a prime spot to watch the bats come out at dusk. It was really cool.

We packed our agenda so full while the kids were here that they sometimes caught some nap time or quiet time whenever and wherever they could hence the second layout. What fun we had and what great memories my heart holds.

I'll be visiting more frequently in the coming weeks to share my other projects. No more slacking off for me!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Cards...

I had a very nice Christmas this year and received wonderful gifts from friends and clients. I didn't want to send out plain generic thank you cards so I made my own. I have used this design before and love that it is easy and quick yet pretty. In total I made 16 cards and the most time I spent was waiting for the craft ink to dry.

I used one of the flourish stamps from the Artsy Elements stamp set by The Angel Company. Stamped the image using white craft ink on black cardstock and added different flowers. I didn't want to use brads so I stickled the center of each flower instead. A bit of ribbon and presto done!

For a Sweet Girl

A little something for a little somebody.

Made this for a "thinking of you" gift. Hope she likes it :-)

Darn the glare on the glass from my camera flash!

Christmas Gift Idea

I found this idea in Woman's Day magazine and ran with it. Inside the lunch bag is a ziplock baggie with all the dry ingredients to make gingerbread cookies. The recipe is included and all that needs to be added is the dairy ingredients. I made these for my clients and I hope I'll get to taste a cookie or two.

Christmas Cards 2010

I can't believe it has been so long since I've posted. I've been busy crafting but haven't thought about posting to my blog. Anyway, here is my 2010 Christmas card assortment. I started off with intentions of stamping and coloring all my card images but that ended when I realized I wouldn't be able to get 50 cards done before Christmas. Here is a sampling.

Here are a few up close and personal. The picture of the deer is one I actually took in our backyard and then made him festive. The Cuttlebug card I used embossing powder after I versamarked the embossing folder.

This is what I had thought all my 50 cards would be when I started. I color my cards using pencils and this would of taken me forever to finish them all.

Hope all of you have a very merry Christmas!
